Originally heralding from England’s pastures green we relocated to Sydney from London with twin babies in 2003.  It was a temporary posting, yet Australia won our hearts and after 15 years of corporate, fast paced life on Sydney’s north shore we made the decision to make Mudgee our forever home.

We love the town, it’s people, and all the things Mudgee has to offer. Being just 5km from town we have great cafes, restaurants and shops showcasing local products on our doorstep.

Giving the property a new lease of life and building the Black Shed is part of our dream to have friends, family and host guests to come and experience this wonderful country town.

'Mudgee' derives from the Wiradjuri Aboriginal term Moothi meaning 'nest in the hills'. This is a suitable title as Mudgee is a beautiful town of fine old buildings, located in the broad, picturesque and fertile Cudgegong River Valley.

Located 270km north west of Sydney it is steeped in history, exudes country charm and hospitality, exceptional dining, and over 40 award winning wineries. A distillery and brewery, stunning landscapes, horse racing at its finest, and year round event experiences.
